Why Broad Ripple?
We’ve been asked why Broad Ripple. This is an amazing and unique neighborhood within Indianapolis. It is filled with an eclectic group of city-dwellers who are career oriented, well-educated, dog loving and progressive. It’s also a neighborhood that is proud of being self-sufficient and having what it needs. But If the 35,000 residents woke up this weekend and wanted to go to church, less than 5% would fit in the available church space. The neighborhood sees itself as self-sufficient, but doesn’t have a sufficient Gospel witness for the amount of people who live here.

A Slow Work
We’ve found this to be a much slower and more diligent work than we first expected. People are spiritual here in Board Ripple but it seems to be "Jesus and (insert belief)". Because of this we’ve had to make some adjustments and dig in for a long, slow start to the work of sharing the Gospel in Broad Ripple.

Joel and Rebecca are Indiana District Missionary Church Planters and Developers with the Assemblies of God. Together they carry over 25 years of vocational ministry experience which includes international ministry, church planting, and Church Life Resource consulting and coaching. We Launched a Dinner Church!!
You may be asking “What is a Dinner Church?” If you haven’t already watched the above video please stop now to find out.
As we became more familiar with our neighborhood we realized that people are disconnected, lonely and seeking. They are seeking something more and aren’t sure who to trust. As we’ve been able to serve free meals to our neighborhood we’ve seen faith begin to grow within the relationships we are building. As we’ve mentioned, this is a slow process and we are asking for partnership both in monthly support and for co-laborings moving to help us here in Broad Ripple. Join us in sharing the Good News.
